Chapter 1
A early breeze woke me up from my soft bed. I slowly dragged my legs to the bathroom. "Ugh" I moaned. I brushed my teeth and made a straight beeline to kitchen. I fixed a breakfast for myself. I usually pour cinnamon toast flakes into my bowl of cereal and start chomping on the soggy flakes. Sadly, I had to take the healthy cereal because my sugary cereal was empty. As I started munching on my healthy breakfast, a loud sound came from the backyard . BOOM! Dust flew everywhere in the house. What is happening?! I thought. As I made my way to the backyard, I saw something gold and shiny. I raced to the shining gold light. As the dust cleared, I found myself in the backyard in front of a gold shiny katana with a silver handle. I noticed a V was carved on the sword. Then I heard my dad grumpily call to me, "VIGNESH !!!! ARE YOU THERE?" I dashed to my dad and showed him the katana and was amazed at the sight. He asked' "How did it get there?" I narrated the whole story to him and he thought for a second. He said that we can ask the sword maker in our town after I eat my breakfast. I stuffed all the food an we both went to the the sword maker shop and he was speechless. He said that he heard a rumor about whoever holds that sword will become the chosen one to save the world. Suddenly something zoomed in the shop. We saw a purple bat with a drawing of a skull on its chest. The bat shot a blast of purple energy and it hit the door in the shop. It shattered into pieces and the bat flew away. I looked outside and trembled with fear. Villagers were running around being chased by weird animals that were wearing a skull. The world needs me I thought.
